Dear Ladies and Gents,
Jeez, its been a long time since I did this blog thing. I feel a little rusty, so bear with me friends.
Its a new year, a fresh start, here we are. Not many new tattoo photos to send along, but a few fun ones to feast your eyes on. My thoughts and reflections on the end of the year/new beginnings:
I had lovely holidays, and in general, a chaotic but amazing month of December. Thank you to all my amazing friends and loved ones who make my life so fulfilling and enjoyable. Also, thank you to my amazing coworkers and all the other artists who surround me and inspire in every facet of my life. New years eve was super fun filled with a balloon drop, champagne tower, lots of gold things, fancy attire, karaoke (thanks Melanie!), Bruce Springsteen, and so many good people. I couldn’t have imagined a better way to welcome the new year.
2010 was a really hard year for a lot of people in my life, including myself, so I am entering into 2011 with an air of optimism, dear friends. Lets work hard, feel proud of ourselves, and give ourselves well deserved breaks! Happy new year everyone. More to come soon, I promise.

I had the pleasure of tattooing Silje this week before her long trip to Norway (we’ll miss you!). On her ankle: native bird and flowers of Norway, plus a trillium for pacific northwest love. Also, finished up some simple black crows on terry’s arm that look pretty rad.
This past week: lots of work, an awesome night of trivial pursuit, a performance, basketball games, running, yoga, a new book. today’s entry is short, more soon, dear friends. oh! And, I’m going to see leonard cohen this week. How exciting!

dear readers,
I’m going to do something different today— I’m not going to mention work at all. I’m only going to talk about and post pictures related to my lovely holiday weekend.
I have been feeling incredibly spread thin and run down as of late. Not sure why exactly, I think a combination of working a lot and winter. Winter can really create a general malaise that’s hard to shake! Thanksgiving day was spent sleeping in, drinking coffee with Eloise, watching The Secret Garden, knitting and embroidering. Around 4:00 I finally got dressed and went over to Melanie and Peter’s first Thanksgiving in their new house. Congratulations to them on the success of their beautiful relationship and their beautiful house. Thanksgiving evening was all about Elvis Christmas records, incredible food, fireplace, family, friends, and sing a longs. I was so happy to spend the holiday with such wonderful people. The day ended the same way it started, except with a food coma to boot!
The rest of the weekend was all about sleeping, lunch dates, bookstore browsing, potting plants, leftovers, BOARD GAMES (settlers, multiple games of scrabble at once, cards), night walks, leisure, multitasking, piano playing, steely dan, a birthday, mulled wine, sitting fireside…I could go on, but I think its obvious that I had the best weekend ever. Sorry, dear friends, to always been writing these epics lists, but I think you would get bored of the actual descriptions of every little moment.
Life feels like it has been incredibly good to me lately. I hope its been good to you too. Happy Thanksgiving.
